3. Just Money and
Social Finance
The author
points out that money eventually make us corrupted. As we know, the money is
symbolic. If I may borrow the author’s expression, “throughout financial
transaction, expenditures, and revenues, you will see what you, or a country,
really care about”. Although money is what human being made for our
convenience, a derivative of money itself like debt and interest is ultimately
painful for us. Money divides people into wealthy and poor one because the
wealthy one can control the money system with power.
What I want to
say is that the author just criticizes wealthy people. Many of wealthy people have
achieved their current financial positions with painful efforts. Studying
financial securities or knowledge is one of those efforts. They cannot just sit
on the table with nothing. As I read the book, I sometimes felt it is too much.
I understand the author explains the reality and a problem of current systems
financially. But, it is better for him not to have biased viewpoints.
I think people nowadays just like to blame the rich people for how much damage they made. People see the rich people build factories that may pollute the nature, but they forget the companies also produce products to help the society to grow.
